148cm, 8-year-old (2011), grey, green passported Connemara mare. Derrylackey Angel (Polly) is a smart, eye-catching pony who always stands out in a crowd.
Polly has three balanced paces and established basic lateral movements. She is consistently scoring high 70%+ scores at Prelim and has scored multiple 70%+ scores at Novice level. She is obedient and has a natural ability making her incredibly trainable. She has a good natural outline, with a floating trot and a big canter, her paces would be good enough to successfully compete in pure dressage.
Polly is a careful show jumper and hates to touch a pole, she will jump off any stride. She qualified for the PC Novice SJ Championships in 2017 and Discovery 2nd rounds for the past two years with a ten-year-old boy (she has a full BS record). She competed in the NSEA championships at Hickstead in the 1m and 1.10m SJ. She has successfully stepped up to 1.10m level and has most recently qualified for the Dengie PC Open SJ championships and came 11th at the championship.
Polly’s real talent lies in eventing. She is extremely bold across the country and is straight over skinnies. She confidently handles water, ditches and banks. She qualified for the PC Grassroots Eventing Championships in 2017 as a 6-year-old with a 10-year-old boy as well as qualifying for the NSEA ODE championships. She is currently competing at BE100 level and has jumped DC in all but one of her events and has made the step up to BE Novice, she will next be out at West Wilts (9th June).
She is a proven pony club pony, attending rallies, pony racing days, fun rides, area events and camp. She regularly hunts with the Ledbury over some of their biggest country. Good to hack, both alone and in company. She has an exceptionally kind temperament and is easy to do both at shows and at home. She is not mareish in any way. She is used to children and dogs running around. Will stand and be groomed for hours. Good to catch, clip, travel/load and shoe.
