Absolute heart breaking sale for my lovely boy, Lad is a 14.3 15 year old Connemara x gelding who I have owned for 3 years. Whilst he has been with me we have been out doing some BE90- BE100 being placed at BE90, best placing - second. BE100 proving too much for him, as I don't have my own transport yet means we can only go out when we tag along with friends so schooling hasn't really been an option for us. Staying at 90 or dropping down to 80 would be ideal for him. He has been an absolute pleasure to own and not only has he taught me so much , I have had the most fun I have ever had riding and owning a horse, he really is one in a million. Not only has he been out doing BE but before me he has done plenty of pony club and was very popular and always on the teams. He knows his job and coulddo it with his eyes shut .
He also excels in dressage and is a true dressage school master, so would happily go to a dressage home, he knows all the tricks, shoulder inn, traver in walk trot and canter, half pass in all three paces, and really starting to get pirouettes in canter. He can collect beautifully and does a good medium and also knows his one time flying changes.He has the best attitude to life, absolutely loves his work and really is so trainable. We have been out to a few low key dressage, again being placed every time we go out. Dressage isn't my favourite but I am 100% certain he could go so far in this discipline, easily doing a medium dressage test and more with the right person.
He is not a novice ride as is forward going and has quite powerful paces, needs a quiet but confident rider.
Loves hacking, I can take him out for hours with my dog running along with us and he is so well behaved, can be spooky but has never done anything nasty just likes to have a look. Also hacks out in company, in front or behind.
He's easy to do in every way, brilliant to load on a trailer or lorry and will happily go out on his own. Can be tickly to clipAnd needs sedating for teeth.
This has been such a difficult decision as he is my pride and joy but I am only selling as I'd really like to excel in my eventing so serious enquiries only. Lots of videos and photos so please message me if you'd like to see more.
