Dun and white gelding. Super smart hunter, who I've hunted for 2 season's with The Holcombe. This horse has taken me from being a total wimpy novice to flying over hedges, wall's, ditches and even wooden gates. He's totally honest just point and go. He's also hunted with the Cross Country Chasers, Cheshire Drag Hunt and many other packs in England and Ireland (not with me). He's mannerly around hounds and will go front, middle or back.
He's also been a perfect all rounder for me attending adult camp at Somerford Park, XC training, SJ, open Working Hunter, ODE, beach rides and lot's of hack's to the pub. He hack's out like a saint alone and in company, bombproof in the heaviest traffic.
Sadly due to my own personal circumstances I haven't hunted this season, the only plus side to this is his flat work is greatly improved with huge, even, balanced paces. He's even grasped basic lateral movement's. He's fit and ready to go hunting right now.
He's good to clip (needs twitch for ears), shoe, load, travel, no stable vices.
Even though I was a totally rusty novice when I bought him he quickly gave me confidence, but he is not suitable for a novice being a powerful athletic horse who can have the occasional buck. He is sensitive and takes a little time to trust someone. Open to vet, he makes a slight breathing noise during fast work.
This is a gut wrenching sale of an amazing horse who I have achieved more on than I ever thought possible.
