Freelance, self employed Groom required for private family yard near Wiveliscombe. 4/4.5 hours per day Mon to Fri, weekends by arrangement if groom available. Further hours required by neighbouring yard - additional 2.5 hours three times a week. Morning or afternoon flexible. Summer hours give more flexibility if needed and duties move to grooming, yard cleaning and pasture management. May reduce to 3 hours per day in the summer plus neighbouring yard depending on demand. Winter regular hours essential - October to April.
Yard duties, mucking out, cleaning tack, moving horses, grooming etc. in the winter. Must be confident around large fit horses. Competition yard with some delightful retired lovelies, plus kind young stock and mares! Informal atmosphere. Current groom recommends. No riding or schooling required just good level of handling and yard experience. Ability to groom and trim an advantage but not as important as being able to work unsupervised and efficiently muck out to high standard. Very welcoming work environment awaits.
