Pickle is a seriously smart little horse, bred to event, but could equally do very well in pure dressage or the show ring. She has correct and flowing paces, is showing a useful pop over a fence, and most importantly of all, has the kind of can-do, will-do attitude that makes her a very exciting prospect to bring on and produce.
She is, and has been since we got her as a yearling, utterly and intelligently unphased by anything. Water, ditches, fillers, tractors, farriers, vets, travels, lessons, slipped saddles - all and everything are quietly assessed and dealt with. She is clever and has enormous potential, so not one for a novice rider please.
She was backed at the beginning of 2019, taking everything in her stride and was then turned out for a couple of months to mature. She has recently come back into work and has picked up exactly where she left off. She hacks out alone or in company. Pickle works well in the school and goes forward in a willing, relaxed frame. She jumps whatever's put in front of her, totally unphased by fillers, water trays etc. She hasn't yet jumped anything big enough to make her have to try but I have no doubt that when she's filled out and developed, scope is not going to be a problem.
I would love to bring her on for the pony market but unfortunately cannot spare the time to devote myself to a little horse who has failed to grow as much as anticipated when we bought her! She would though be ideal for a good little jockey to produce for the lucrative competition pony / WHP market.
I absolutely adore this little horse and would love to see her go on and do well, so serious enquiries only please. If she was 16hh she wouldn't be going anywhere!
