Jane Holderness-Roddam, twice winner of Badminton and once at Burghley Horse Trials, was the first British girl to ride in an Olympic Three Day Event. As team Gold medalist, she was also the first girl to win an Olympic equestrian medal..
Brought up with show ponies and a keen Pony Club member, Jane won numerous Championships with ponies, hacks and hunters. She has ridden or judged at both showing and eventing in several countries around the world, incuding the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Europe etc.
Numerous successful students have started their training at West Kington Stud where the emphasis is on producing riders who learn to understand the horses, realise that there is no one way to success and that confidence in both horse and rider is paramount. Horses and riders compete under the guidance of Jane Holderness-Roddam, participating from BE 90 through to Advanced horse trials, including the top three-day events.
