Description
19 year old, determined and dedicated young rider.
Eventing has always been my passion and recently I have started living the dream! Having completed my first international with self produced horse Liberty Bell II (Libby) it has made me realise how much I want to make it as an event rider. Last year I was lucky enough to have Fortunes Rock (Fifi) bought for me by Sallie Clough. To enter into the 2015 event season with 2 horses felt like a huge milestone, having 2 horses to put my all into! 2015 was a great year, Libby progressed to Novice and we completed our first CCI1* at Osberton with a clear cross-country inside the time. Fifi was so close to qualifying for the 5 year old young horse champs at Osberton also, missing out by just one place! Currently also working on a few youngsters, NBE Gorgeous George, a 4 year old who we recently purchased unbroken and is currently being backed, a real star for the coming years! Ansthorpe Quality, a super smart 5 year old who was purchased last year in Ireland who is owned by Jo Wise. Shannondale Warren, another lovely 5 year old who is also owned by Jo, I am eventing him in the 2016 season. It all started in the Cambridgeshire Hunt pony club. Representing the branch at area competitions including, show jumping and mounted games, but it was always the eventing that gave me a buzz. I also was selected to jump at Burghley Horse trials for the pony club show jumping and the eventers trial at Blenheim. I have ridden many different horses over the years, being a working pupil for Andrew James was a great experience as I rode horses from breakers to 4*. It was whilst I was working there that I developed a real love for riding youngsters, there is nothing more rewarding that feeling and seeing a young horse progress through the levels. Producing Libby from a just broken 5 year old to 1* level has been a great journey and I aim to do the same with Fifi.

Upcoming competitions |
The 2016 is certainly going to be my busiest one to date. Having gained a new ride, lovely 5 year old Shannondale Warren, that will make 3 out on the eventing circuit. Liberty Bell II (Libby) who is currently my top horse will kick off the season with 4 novices before heading to Houghton International to do the CCI1* and then progress to intermediate. Fortunes Rock (Fifi) will have a couple of 100 runs before making the step up to Novice at Norton Disney, the plan is for her to do Osberton 1* |
