Description

FONTAINEBLEAU - His impeccable bloodlines combine the best in jumping and dressage and both sides of his pedigree have been influential in producing the modern sports horse. His sire Wanderer is renowned for producing horses with outstanding jumping talent who also have superb dressage paces. An example of this is Active Walero who represented Great Britain at dressage in the 2004 Olympics. Wanderer was included in the Hanoverian Breed Show Jumping Programme and has sired many international jumping and dressage horses and also top class stallions. Fontainebleau’s 1st, 2nd,3rd dams are all state premium mares and his dams sire is the famous Wenzel 1 who was the leading dressage sire for 1997 and 1998 and dominated auctions and National Championships in Germany for many years, producing top class dressage horses including ‘Walk on Top’, the 1998 World Cup winner. Fontainebleau was Champion of the Licensing at Verden in 1992, is 100 day performance tested and has competed to Grand Prix. In Germany he won the equivalent to Med/Adv Med 33 times, PSG 8 times and Intermediare level 4 times. His oldest progeny in England are 9 this year and he has produced BEF 1st premium winners in dressage, jumping and eventing and has sired a Champion foal at the British Hanoverian Horse Soc Show. 4yr olds competing in dressage have scored over 70% at their first shows, one qualified for the British Eventing 4yr old final and another jumped a double clear BSJA. He has progeny competing in both dressage and eventing and they are fast gaining an excellent reputation for producing the goods. Fontainebleau had a wonderful work ethic – he really enjoyed competing and this seems to be passed on to his offspring.
