The Armoured Centre Saddle Club is a British Horse Society (BHS) Approved Training and Riding Centre situated in Bovington Camp near Wool, Dorset. Originally formed as a facility for service personnel and their dependents, training and riding is now offered to anyone in the community.
The Armoured Centre Saddle Club offers training and livery facilities to both novice, experienced horse and rider combinations. The Centre runs a thriving Pony Club, which is affiliated to the internationally renowned Pony Club.
The Club runs numerous events and clinics in dressage, show jumping and cross-country. It hosts British Dressage (BD) competitions, and a British Eventing BE80, BE90, BE100 and BE Novice Event on its affiliated cross-country course. Details of forthcoming events can be found on our website.
The RAC Saddle Club welcomes all levels of rider offering year-round tuition for everyone from the beginner to the more experienced rider. Training in dressage, show jumping and cross country is available, with regular stable management courses on offer. Lessons take place from Tuesday to Sunday, with late afternoon/evening lessons on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our friendly and qualified instructors offer private and group sessions, an ideal way to get to know other Club members.
We have a range of safe and quiet school masters/experienced ponies and horses for riders who do not own one. While some are available for lessons, others are available for loan or as part of a share.
