Here at Mill Farm, we aim to provide your mare with a stress free foaling. We keep our in foal mares together, so that they are a close knit herd and when she has her foal, she will not feel threatened by strange horses.
We have purpose built foaling boxes with CCTV to closely monitor them during the night without disturbing them all the time. From our screen we can easily see when the mare has started to foal and can watch closely to lend a hand as and when necessary.
Our stables are right next to the nursery field so that new-born foals don't have to walk far to get outside and strengthen up in the sun! Also with being so close, new mums are still in sight of their friends while adjusting to motherhood. The nursery field is fenced with stock proof fencing and has a good 7ft hedge on 3 sides.
