Maisie is an exceptionally pretty mare with good conformation, straight correct movement, lovely big paces and a sweet affectionate temperament.
Competing at prelim level, scoring high 60’s / low 70’s at affiliated (My Quest) level. Qualified for and achieved a top 10 placing at the SW MyQuest regionals (her first stabled away show in horrendous weather conditions but took everything in her stride and behaved like a pro).
Loves her flat work, very willing, quick to learn and improving all the time. At home working on lengthened strides, leg yield, shoulder-in, walk to canter transitions and baby walk pirouettes.
Easy to do and level headed. Good to hack alone or in company. Good in the heaviest traffic and not at all sharp or spooky. Good to canter in open spaces/ in the woods / common etc.
Forward going but doesn't hot up or get strong. Brilliant at competitions an in the warm up with other horses, doesn't get worried or fizzy.
Enjoys jumping and will happily pop round a 60-70cm course. Brave over small jumps but still a little green when jumping (we have mostly concentrated on flat work).
Really well behaved when children ride her and she looks after a young jockey. 8 year old girl rides her happily in the school, out on the road and in open fields.
Good to load/travel in lorry or trailer, good to shoe, clip, catch and have teeth done.
Small cosmetic blemish on her leg just above the knee, believed to be caused by a knock as a foal. Leg has been scanned and x-rayed and found to be cosmetic only (never been lame or sore on it).
On occasions has been seen to crib bite, however managed with gut balancer (good dooer and not a stressy type).
