Amanda is an ex-International 3* eventer turned Grand Prix dressage rider. She is a British Dressage Accredited Trainer and BHS qualified instructor.
During her time as an eventer Amanda trained with Marianne Gilchrist (Australian international Olympic and World Cup show jumper) and Capt Mark Phillips (British Eventing team gold medallist, winner of World and European championships, Badminton and Burghley and former US eventing coach).
After developing a passion for dressage Amanda trained with many of the world's leading dressage trainers including Ellen Bontje (a regular team member for Holland and Olympic Silver medallist), Nicole Uphoff (German individual and team gold medallist at European, World and Olympic championships) and is a long term, regular pupil of former Team GB dressage coach Conrad Schumacher. Amanda makes regular training trips back to Germany and her ongoing commitment to learning from the world's best differentiates Amanda and produces a unique approach. Amanda is currently producing her own dressage horse 'Rudi'.
Amanda believes correct dressage training, combined with a sympathetic approach, produces stunning results for all disciplines at all levels. The horses she trains are characterised by softness, suppleness and swinging paces which enable them to perform in all spheres, often gaining results way in excess of their owner’s expectations.
Amanda is based in Standlake (close to Wantage, Faringdon, Witney, Oxford and Abingdon) in Oxfordshire and offers 1 to 1 tuition, group lessons, and clinics at client's own or hired premises by arrangement.
