Description

Debby has experience training and competing horses of all varieties - from warmbloods to thoroughbreds, Welsh cobs to Iberians, with the odd pony and Icelandic thrown in for good measure! Debby has represented the UK Internationally at Small Tour level, and competed Nationally up to and including Grand Prix Special. She has won BD Regional Championships and been placed at Nationals at all levels up to Small Tour. With the philosophy that to be an aesthetically attractive partnership, the horse must want to work with the rider, her training and riding is firmly rooted in classical traditions with no short cuts, but a steady, progressive gymnastic development that produces a sound, healthy and happy horse. Her current Grand Prix mount is 22 years old and still competing. Her greatest influences are her training from the former First Chief Rider of the Spanish Riding School, Herr Arthur Kottas; Charles de Kunffy, the famed American clinician and author; and Stephen Clarke, the FEI's current Judge General. The accumulated knowledge of over 25 years education from this wonderful group of trainers is gathered together in the two books she has published: "The Building Blocks of Training" and "The Successful Dressage Competitor", both available from book shops and direct from Amazon.
