French Classical Dressage Freelance Coach & Instructor, Jean Papin Labazordiere - has benefitted from one of the highest trainings in Classical Dressage . Trained by and Son of Jacques Papin, former Instrucor of the Cadre Noir, Saumur and long term student of Maitre Nuno Oliveira, Jean is established in both training horse and rider in all the 'Basse Ecole' (the Basic School movements)- such as straightness, collection, all lateral work etc, and aim to move onto 'Haute Ecole' (the High School movements) - such as Changes, Piaffe, Passage, Spanish Walk etc. and has clients from novices up to PSG level. Jean trains in a soft, sympathetic manner to both horse and rider, with no use of gadgets and aims to work with and enhance the horses natural composition and paces and to instil credence in the partnership. He frequently teaches all types and abilities of horse & rider combinations as the classical training aids everyone from the dressage enthusiasts, but also eventers / show jumpers, riding club members and 'happy hackers' alike. Jean is always happy to ride your horse for you in a lesson too and as well as ridden training sessions, Jean can use a variety of other training methods to establish the horse on the ground such as in-hand work, work on the lunge and with the enregnement and long -reigning. Lessons can be given either at your location, or alternatively can be held in our yard, where we have a fully floodlit 20 x 60m arena.
