With more than 30 years experience of feeding horses and ponies, I have been responsible for the nutrition of all types of equines from native ponies to a Grand National winning racehorse.
Having worked as a nutritionist for a leading horse feed company for nearly 14 years, both here in the UK and abroad, as well as several years lecturing at colleges and universities, enables me to draw on a wealth of experience to formulate the best possible diet for your horse.
By setting up Equine Nutrition Solved, I am able to give you totally impartial expert advice for your individual horse and circumstances.
How can I help you?
The main service I offer is a personal consultation on your yard and this consists of the following:
- Assessment of current management, feeding regime and diet including all forage and supplements
- Weighing with a portable wireless weighbridge
- Condition scoring using the 9 point scale
- Discussion of general health, ailments, behaviour, workload and any dietary modifications required
- A full written report of the visit with a recommended diet and management plan including costing if requested
- Follow up visits and Full support to implement the plan and follow up visits to monitor progress if required
Other services offered are:
- Forage and feed analysis with full explanatory report
- Faecal egg counts done immediately on yards while you wait.
- Talks and demonstrations for all levels of horse owners and professionals
- Independent bespoke written articles or features for the media
- Educational teaching and lecturing up to MSc. level
