I have ridden for nineteen years. I started it when I was seven after I was diagnosed with dyspraxia- A Specific Learning Disability which affects co-ordination and balance. Horse riding has that immensely. Just being around horses has got me through some dark times of my life, being on a yard relaxes me immediately. It's like therapy.
