Assistant Yard Manager/Groom

Vibrant, expanding Event yard needs an additional experienced groom/assistant yard manager who is trustworthy, dedicated and dependable. The role requires a high standard of care, all general yard duties, a sufficient skill for hacking, lunging and fast work, preparation for competition and the opportunity to attend events if desired. It is essential that the applicant has a good work ethic, good organisational skills, self motivated, the ability to work as part of a team yet the confidence to take sole charge and give instruction to junior staff should the need arise. Our team is an essential part of our support system and a good team and happy horses is the key to successful results. This is a 5.5 day week and days off are given a minimum of three weeks in advance and are arranged around our competition schedule. Accommodation is available on site for a small fee but includes all utilities along with a good salary and the possibility to accommodate a horse.
