*Top Small Dressage Horse* (SAN REMO X ELCARO) Gandhi is an exquisite black gelding who is elegant in everything he does. He is compact, beautifully put together and light footed with a naturally overtracking walk, cadenced and rhythmical trot and a forward balanced canter. This gelding is very honest and trustworthy with an eager willingness to learn within his work and is teamed with a gentle character and very kind natured temperament. Gandhi began his ridden education at 3 years old in Holland with his breeders, before being turned away for a few months to enjoy life as a young horse. He has since come back into work where he is rapidly advancing and is now based in the beautiful Cotswolds. His sire, the Hanoverian stallion, San Remo, was licensed in 2001 by the Hanoverian studbook and gained premium status to then be approved by the KWPN in 2002. Under Edward Gal the black finished 5th in the 2004 Pavo Cup finals for 4 year olds. He was Also 3rd overall in the 2003-2004 KWPN stallion competition and then 2nd in the 2004-2005 circuit. Gandhi’s Mothers Sire, Elcaro, is one of the most successful Grand Prix horses in the Netherlands. His elastic trot and fantastic temperament helped him win the National Stallion Competition final in 1990/91 where he scored 9's for his temperament and stable manners and an impressive 8.5 for his trot.
