Description
PALOUSA SAN SEBASTIAN is currently back in dressage training with the Dressage Company where he is standing at stud for 2016.He won his first dressage test with nearly 68%. Currently a BSJA B showjumper, won at 1.20m level. Currently ranked 6th at the BEF Futurity All Time Eventing sires.
His dressage qualities are not surprising with GRIBALDI and Wolkentanz/ Weltmeyer in his pedigree, whilst his jumping qualities are heriditary from Volturno and Kostolany.
1. SIRE is SAN REMO, Black, 17hh by WOLKENTANZ I (Champion of the Stallion Licensing 1993) by world famous sire WELTMEYER . San Remo was trained at PSG level. Both Weltmeyer and Wolkentanz have numerous Graded sons and are both in the Top 100 of dressage sires ranking.
EVENTER Great grandsire VOLTURNO a ¾ Thoroughbred (by VOLLKORN XX) was twice German EVENTING National champion, and was twice OLYMPIC Silver Team Eventing Medalist (1976 Montreal, 1980 France). When Volturno retired from eventing he was totally SOUND.
2. DAM PALOUSA CAPRICE (5X Dutch Appaloosa National Champion) is by GRIBALDI, Black, an International Grand Prix Dressage stallion himself, and sire of several international Grand Prix Dressage stallions/horses.
Gribaldi was TRAKEHNER STALLION of the year 2008. His sire KOSTOLANY was Trakehner Stallion of the Year 2009.
GRIBALDI who was graded for KWPN, Trakehner, Hanoverian, Oldenburger and many more studbooks, died in 2010. He has been and still is very important for breeding, ranked 1st dressage sires 2014 WBFSH.
Palousa San Sebastian is Graded and Licensed WBS-UK (British Warmblood) (grading was by 2 German judges), where he was WBS Sports Horse Register CHAMPION of his year 2009
PALOUSA SAN SEBASTIAN is EE (homozygous for BLACK) and LP/lp (Appaloosa gene, 50/50 chance for appaloosa colour with solid coloured mare, 75% chance with an appaloosa coloured mare).
First progeny of 2013: a filly, ELITE premium, ranked 5th (800 young horses) at the BEF Futurity evaluations. He produced a black leopard spotted colt from a Dutch grey mare.
His 2014 black filly has won a GOLD premium at the 2015 SPSS gradings (one out of only 3 Gold). Several foals in 2015, of which an outstanding bay leopard spotted filly out of a KWPN mare, and first foal born in Belgium with BWP papers.
His progeny is tall with excellent conformation, who have inherited their sire's WOW factor. Many foals are due in 2016 in the UK and USA.
Until today, the ONLY appaloosa coloured stallion in the world, to be graded amongst solid coloured stallions.

BEF Futurity ELITE PREMIUM Dark bay Filly foal born in June from a Thoroughbred mare, carries the appaloosa gene: white with spots on one foot.
FULL BLACK LEOPARD SPOTTED Colt foal born at the end of June, same as filly foal, exquisite head, long legs, quite compact, excellent sloping shoulder, good set neck.

BSJA Show Jumping: WON the 5YO Class at his FiIRST Outing BICTON Easter 2010, has WON two more classes after that, both Qualifiers, double clears and placed again, recently placed 3rd in a Winter Qualifier in an Indoor Showjumping class, and two weeks later placed 2nd, Many WINS and placings since, currently jumping 1.20/1.30m and has WON.
