Description

So much more than a pretty face and a coloured coat! Amour G has the sweetest temperament imaginable and full of presence, he turns heads where ever he goes. Although he has all the right credentials to breed serious competition horses, his kind and gentle nature make him ideal for producing sensible riding horses for the amateur rider too. He has three rhythmic, loose and elevated paces and the most amazing length of rein. Amour G has both Olympic dressage and showjump horses on both sides of his pedigree.The only horse to date to be awarded TWO Elite First Premiums by the BEF Futurity scheme, one for dressage and one for show jumping. With no marks less than 9 out of 10, he scored 9.75 in the vetting, 9.75 for his paces and 9.5 for his conformation. Comments from the evaluators included `` fabulous walk, good hindleg for canter`` and ``very scopey, good brain`` He is graded with the prestigious WBS-UK in the SHR. (He was Champion of his section) He is also graded with the SHB(GB) and Licensed with the AES. (KWPN mares foals from Amour G are now eligible for Reg A KWPN papers should you wish) Amour G has won the majority of his BD dressage classes at Open Novice, Elementary, Medium, Advanced Medium and Advanced levels with impressive scores of up to 78.8%. The judges comments include `Stunning, expressive horse, a pleasure to judge!` `Impressive` and `A sure talent for the future` Head Olympic judge worked with Amour G and described him as `world class`. He qualified for the BD Nationals at Novice and in a very hot class was placed 8th of more than 30 starters. He qualified for the Open Elementary winter regionals in the minimum three tests. Although qualifying for the 2012 summer regionals at Medium, he missed out due to an injured rider! They bounced back by winning the Sheepgate Area Festival at Open Medium level, qualifying them for the Winter Championships in April. In 2013, Amour G again qualified for the BD Summer Nationals, this time at Open Medium level. They finished just outside the top ten with a confident, flowing test. Showing his amazing temperament, he remained rock steady when the crowds started cheering and whooping at the retirement of Mr President next door! He will start at PSG in 2015. As a young horse he competed in affiliated showjumping to Newcomers level and won and placed regularly with double clears and has been schooled x country showing a bold but careful attitude. Amour G has also been lightly shown with great success. Winner of many sporthorse classes and championships he has also won the coveted BSPA Superstar In Hand Championship twice.
