Skip and Sea is a stunning Irish Draught stallion standing 16hh with 9.5 inches of good flat bone. He carries the best international performance bloodlines through Skippy and Sea Crest. His grandsire, Skippy was a prolific sire of sport horses generally including the elite sport horse Advanced Event Stallion Jumbo. Skip and Sea’s sire Skippy Too has sired a number of international event horses including Skip On and Hop and Skip. Hop and Skip ridden by Dirk hrade was selected for and won the team Gold Medal for Eventing at the 2013 Europeans at Malmo. In addition on his dams side, Riverbank is the grandsire of Zara Phillips MBE (now Tindall) top event horse Toytown.Sea Crest, himself a Grade A SJ stallion needs no introduction as the sire of the legendary Cruising also a Grade A SJ. Cruising has sired numerous top competition horses including Cruiseline, World Cruise, Lenamore to name a few. Skip and Sea’s breeding is without doubt an exceptional proven genepool with Jumbo 4th and Cruising 5th on the WBFSH Eventing Rankings for 2013.
Skip and Sea has outstanding conformation and is a short coupled supple athletic horse with expressive straight paces, being very light on his feet with an active ground covering walk and a huge powerful and scopey jump. He has a genuinely kind temperament, and oozes presence, masculinity and enthusiasm for life. He is a very tough sound horse with excellent hard feet. Indeed he won the IDHS(GB) Hazevern Fertility Award in 2009 and 2010, 3rd in 2011 and 2nd in 2012.
