The importance of the “G” line blood is well understood in top performance breeding for dressage, and jumping but, until now, it was limited to the Grannus line or appeared in the third or fourth generation. In 2009, in Verden, the Hannoverian Studbook licensed the young stallion, Goetterfunke. A son of the great Galvano, he impressed with his scope, athleticism and movement for dressage and jumping. From a dam line, which has produced the great stallion Santini and the Bundeschampionat Finalist, Royal Spirit, this young horse shows much provenance. This is a strong and well developed horse with immense scope in his jumping and power in his canter, walk and trot. His character is user friendly and he wants to work. He is totally genuine. In 2013, ridden by Derek Moreton, Götterfunke commenced his BSJA career, qualifying for the Scope Championships and now competing at Foxhunter – he is underway for the top. In 2014, he continued his career, now heading up to 130cm and winning at Foxhunter. We are also seeing top moving offspring that show his dressage movement.
